The Mexi Mexi Girls and the Zumba Fitness BC Team
A few years ago; Mexico, Europe, USA and Canada's East Coast was taken by a storm by Zumba , and it has finally arrived to the West Coast and Vancouver area.
Mexican born Evelyn Cervera (Zumba Instructor for 2 years and dance choreographer for many more) and Silvi Ortega (Zumba and Group Fitness Instructor) met 2 years ago in one of Evelyn's Zumba classes, instantly they became great friends, but they both had a dream in common; to open up their own Fitness Studio.
A year ago they decided to become business partners and rented a small space with the dream that one day they would open the very first Zumba Studio the whole Vancouver lower mainland.
Evelyn and Silvi better known as The Mexi Mexi Girls from Zumba Fitness BC have worked very hard to create a name, clientele and a great reputation having now over 1200 fans on their Zumba Fitness BC Facebook page.
This two young Zumba instructors choreograph their own routines, their Latin music is meticulously selected and their charm and charisma is contagious, just like being in a party back in Latin America.
Evelyn and Silvi have been Zumba activists in Vancouver, helping others with charity events as last summer massive 3 hours Zumbathon Event raising $2,500 towards Gerardo Muñoz and Children Hospital as well as supporting the Leukemia and lymphoma Society (Team in Training). They have also have had the pleasure of working with the Heart and Stroke Foundation. This two young entrepreneurs are often guests to many events such as Tu Idioma at The Granville BackStage Lounge, Carnaval de Sol 2010, Mexico Fest 2010 and now Mexico Fest 2011.
Now, a year later their dream came true. They opened the very first Zumba Studio in the Vancouver lower mainland October 1st, We welcome you to come and experience their Zumba Classes at A-5595 Kingsway (at MacPherson) - map. they have been working hard training their new Zumba Fitness BC Team with the choreographies everyone is loving, experience a real party workout, in a party like environment, become part of the new trend and the Zumba Fitness BC family.
